Happy New Year!

The New Year for us has been weddings and weddings... beautiful winter snowy weddings- people starting off the new year committing lives together... and it is beautiful. The light has been lovely, and the couples amazing. Yesterday we spent the afternoon at Nita Lake lodge witnessing and capturing this sweet authentic and kind couple as they said their "i do's" in Spanish. I feel so completely honored to be apart of these services... loveliness. The bride had the most amazing style that would not be comprimised as she stood in the middle of a frozen lake... so brave in her short dress and hunter boots. They also spent the morning decorating the space making it personlaized, unique and beautiful for the family... I love LOVE that. XO

 

Its Christmas time in Whistler!

I knew right away while having coffee with this couple that I would LOVE this wedding. And I absolutely did. One of the most beautiful settings I have ever seen- I absolutely recommend the Loden Hotel in Vancouver. And creating a cocktail rooftop party was executed perfectly by this bride and groom. XO

When I first entered into the land of wedding photography I was completely drawn to Junebug weddings- a wedding blog out of Seattle... I used to check everyday and look at all of the beautiful images and featured weddings... To now be one of the featured photographers is such a dream! Thank you Junebug!

I loved this wedding... and thought it was done beautifully- but what I loved most about it was not the incredible style- it was the authenticity. It was entirely and perfectly authentic. x0

i love love the ocean... and with that- the islands-

so i jumped at the opportunity to photograph a wedding with Rebecca Amber last weekend- the thought of a day on the island, a ferry trip- the chance to talk photography with another photographer... dreamy! 

the absolute bonus was the wedding itself, the very stunning couple- the gorgeous gardens... everything. 

loved every moment and am SO excited about the wedding season ahead:)

HAPPY EASTER, AUSTRALIA AND HOME

We just landed in LA and my brain is starting to think about home... answering emails, laundry- seeing friends- making lunches... snow- 'real' life. We were just given an amazing gift of spending 3 weeks in Australia with our family and it was amazing. We saw friends, travelled up the coast, drank a lot of coffee... and wine... sat on the beach while our kids played in the waves... and photographed a wedding.
