All I can say is I want to go back.... I loved everything about this part of the world- and then to top it off... this wedding. no. words.

If you are a Whistler Local- Purebread needs no introduction! It is my addiction- it is divine, lovely, yummy, and sweet. And it was an honor to photograph them, the sweet and savory bits, and just a morning of baking. I gained 10 pounds that morning and I don't care:) Worth it completely. It was so interesting and inspiring to be behind the scenes of this successful and beautiful bakery. Enjoy the images:) XO
It was such an honor to be a part of Oak Smith's first EVER art show at Collage Collage! And great to see so many friends come to support- as well as to meet so many new people! The Father's Day inspired Pop Up photobooth was a hit! So many adorable children to photograph! Very Fun!
Enjoy the images- and enjoy today loving the men in your lives:)

i spend so much time working out perfect weather and light- but this mamma to be did not have time to wait on such things... we went for a big walk in vancouver in the rain- got soaked...
and i could not be happier- these seem so real life- so perfectly imperfect.
xo
and some dryer inside options:)
cannot wait to meet the babe!
i remember hearing about this place- this cool place new to downtown where you could take cooking lessons/ eat great food- have fabulous drinks. it was called the dirty apron. around that time, a friend invited me a new waffle place called medina- lavendar chocolate and great coffee- as it turned out it was next to the dirty apron. and then a year ago we were in vancouver for the night and were told that we had to go to Chambar- that it would be amazing food- and it was. and... it was next to medina and the dirty apron. and then a few months ago i got a call- the owner of all three asking me to do photos. thrilled, honored, excited.
since then i have been obsessing with food photos and have had more opportunity open up. love when life falls into place like that.
here is a little peek at our first session together.

i love love the ocean... and with that- the islands-
any island:)
so i jumped at the opportunity to photograph a wedding with Rebecca Amber last weekend- the thought of a day on the island, a ferry trip- the chance to talk photography with another photographer... dreamy!
the absolute bonus was the wedding itself, the very stunning couple- the gorgeous gardens... everything.
loved every moment and am SO excited about the wedding season ahead:)
xo
waa waa.... i don't have a little girl to send ot the father daughter dance:)
so to be as much a part of it as i can without being the creepy boy mom sneaking into the venue to watch and feel sorry for myself i stalk my friends with girls and take photos as a guise to feel a part of it!
xo- some friends... some dancers, and some little siblings:)
this beautiful mamma had her beautiful babies!
and i had the honor of photographing them last week.
When I walked into the house I saw this on a huge cavas:
In this house...
We do real, we do mistakes, we do I'm sorry, we do second chances, we do fun, we do hugs, we do forgiveness, we do really loud, we do family, we do love.
That sums it up.
xoxo
and this one is hilarious to me.... its just so REAL life- babies cry and sometimes... its actually kind of funny! they are still perfect and adorable... but they cry- they are working out their little lives on the outside. i loved that these parents just went with it- enjoying it even... cause that is what life is- its the good, and the not so good... its the everything. its laughing and crying all at the same time.
"in this house we do real"
we met this amazing couple in Yasawa Fiji when we were photographing the YASAWA resort.
and we got to reconnect with them in Australia- so very very fun to meet Jack.... oh my goodness they love love love this little boy.
and he is truly divine... these smiles are all the time with him- amazing.
cannot wait until they come visit in whistler- i want to continue to photograph this little one for years to come! and maybe we will get dad in the next ones- he was golfing with Chad! lol

i am settling into photos again in the midst of painting and demolishing my house and I am catching up on photos from OZ
our favorite part of the trip was our time with friends... friends who know us, love us, teach our kids to surf, let us sleep in their house... and eat all of their food! friends who stay up all night talking becasue we only have a few night.

i had the honor of participating in the first ever hip baby disco and it was so fun! caleb came with me and was my photo assistent! like.... for real- he took photos!
it was a day of kids, dance, creating, laughing, and had a great earth day eco spin... ridiculously fun and we cannot wait for the next one!
a special shout out to Collage Collage- I am still wearing my magazine bead necklace!
one mom said this "we spend almost all week telling our kids what to do, and where to go- how great to have this environment where all day they call the shots- i want to dance, lets do a craft- get photos taken and dance again-" ... that sums it up... it was full kid magic!

This little one could not be sweeter. Such a beautiful family.
She was on the run the whole time- exploring her world! It was the perfect age to be photographed, as well as for video. I am pleased to announce the addition of Weddings in Motion to my Family Shoots. You now will have the option of having your session on video- made as a home video. I love that we are offering this as it is exactly what I would want for myself and for my family!
Enjoy XO
some at home....
some at little nest
We just landed in LA and my brain is starting to think about home... answering emails, laundry- seeing friends- making lunches... snow- 'real' life. We were just given an amazing gift of spending 3 weeks in Australia with our family and it was amazing. We saw friends, travelled up the coast, drank a lot of coffee... and wine... sat on the beach while our kids played in the waves... and photographed a wedding.
Here is just a little tiny sneak peek of the wedding. More to come once we get settled!
XO
Oh friend... You are beyond dear to me... sweet and kind and loyal. Fun and hilarous and adventurous. An amazing mom, wife, slurpee drinker, sour patch kid eater. I cannot imagine life without you in it... love you. And... check your email for your gift:) but here is a sneak peek!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

he really is the "better" half... in who we are... in the parenting... and in the way he loves me.
he is also the better photographer. (although I may only admit that here... just this once)
and he patiently taught me everything about computers and cameras and light... but more then that... he taught me how to see the moments of life and how to capture them because that is simply who he is... he sees the best in people, life and situations... and I know it makes the people around him want to be better people... and to see goodness.
this winter he has been traveling and photographing the mountains and his own love- winter.
i think what you see in these photos... is a pure motive...he takes photos becasue he wants to capture something he loves, something he is passionate about. its simple and calm- and i want more of that and this in my life.
revelstoke, trout, chile, whistler... here are a few of my favorites- now I need to pick the one to enlarge in our house.
xoxo
my dear friend started this amazing company.... i swoon for everything they make!
i stopped by to the studio and took a few photos... i love projects like this...
