i love love the ocean... and with that- the islands-
any island:)
so i jumped at the opportunity to photograph a wedding with Rebecca Amber last weekend- the thought of a day on the island, a ferry trip- the chance to talk photography with another photographer... dreamy!
the absolute bonus was the wedding itself, the very stunning couple- the gorgeous gardens... everything.
loved every moment and am SO excited about the wedding season ahead:)

We just landed in LA and my brain is starting to think about home... answering emails, laundry- seeing friends- making lunches... snow- 'real' life. We were just given an amazing gift of spending 3 weeks in Australia with our family and it was amazing. We saw friends, travelled up the coast, drank a lot of coffee... and wine... sat on the beach while our kids played in the waves... and photographed a wedding.

I wanted to share this feature today with you... one of my all time favorite winter weddings.
I think... becasue I live here I sometimes forget how absolutely perfect and gorgeous it is for a destination wedding. We have beautiful hotels such as Nita Lake Lodge and my new favorite venue the Rim Rock Cafe featured here as well... and absoultely amazing vedors in design, florals and planning. july... it rained a lot...
and yet... the rain brought new colors and a new dimension to many of our weddings... it was different, and welcome:) this wedding was just lovely... the bride designed her dress... it was great to be around such a creative person! xo
my job is ridiculous... i fully know how spoiled i am.... gorgeous weddings and helicopter rides to the mountains... ahhhh.... what a wonderful day:)

the whole ceremony and reception of this wedding was stunning.... however i was desperate to have this couple outside in the snow before we lost light.... the bride had the prettiest white robe to wear with this gorgeous hood. it was beyond lovely.
once again... i am just thankful and humbled that i get to photograph these beautiful and touching weddings.
