i am addicted...
to all things beautiful, thoughtful, textured, layered, full of fabulous depths... to blogs full of colorful goodness... to books full of words that create lasting images... to grainy photos... to pretty paper... to laughter... to powerful women... to old wrinkled men who tell stories.
and this muddled mess of things I like, who i am... what to buy and where to put it... all got figured out in my head when i read Style Statement... and then re read it... and then started to read the blog of one of the authors White Hot Truth...
as life does.... that then led me to attend a Fire Starter workshop last year led by Danielle LaPorte. it helped me regroup... take control of my business... be confident and alive (I HIGHLY recommend this to any of you out there at whatever level you are at)... and that led...
to me photographing Danielle... which was an honor...
to photograph someone whom i admire and look up to in business... the author of a book I adore...
hmmmm.... not too many words... just inspired.
as a mentor she encourages me to succeed.... to be confident and to fly towards my dreams... and then as a client... she still manages to reinstate all of that... she takes me from the little box i can easily build around me... and she places me right outside of it...
in this session... i learned... i experimented... and i found more passion for this art of photography.
xo
and then just a little playing with some of the very beautiful pieces found about in her home. i was struck by the intentionality of the simplicity in her home.

we share addictions.
stunning photos--the intention shines through them.

So beautiful! Perfect portraits for an inspiring, contemplative woman like her. Esp love the one with the Buddha statue.
I am considering getting a Firestarter session myself; what was your experience with it? :D How did it improve your business?
